Cancellation Policy
We hope everyone who registers for the conference, short courses and/or datathon will be able to attend; however, the Data Science Conference (DSCO) 2023 organizers know extenuating circumstances do occur. The DSCO 2023 Cancellation and Refund Policies are as follows:
Conference, Short Course and/or Datathon Refund and Cancellation Policy
Datathon only registration canceled online on or before February 15, 2023 is refundable.
Conference, Short Course and/or Datathon registration canceled online on or before February 15, 2023 is refundable but subject to a $50 administrative fee.
Registrants canceling after February 15, 2023 will not receive a refund. The refund and cancellation policy will not be waived.
Registration fees may be transferred to another individual; the invoice for the new registration will be revised to reflect the new registrant's membership status. Please contact dsco@datascience.usfca.edu.
Exceptions:
NSF Grant Applicants
The NSF grant is pending and that, on account of the current grant status, students applying for the grant and registering for the conference will receive a full refund should the grant not be awarded.
Unforeseen Circumstances Defined for Refund and Cancellation Policies
In the event the University of San Francisco must cancel the conference due to unforeseen circumstances, the Data Institute will refund the cost of registration.
The phrase “unforeseen circumstances” is used to describe an event that is unexpected and prevents the University and the Data Institute from continuing with the conference. Examples of such circumstances can include but are not limited to, inclement weather or other natural disasters, site unavailability, technology challenges, and/or COVID or other health-related regulations.
